Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area

This project is being completed in multiple phases and includes the following:

Replacement of existing shade structures with new prefabricated shade shelters as well as upgrades to walking paths and concrete pads.

Expansion of the the existing parking lot at the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area Soccer Complex to accommodate an additional 36 parking spaces.

Improvements to the existing lake area, including installation of park benches, additional concrete fishing platforms, renovation to existing irrigation, drainage improvements, and construction of a concrete walkway.

Improvements to the existing picnic area consisting of installation of picnic tables, concrete slabs and replacement of barbecue braziers.

Improvements within the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area including trail consolidation, trail enhancement, interpretive elements and directional signage, and habitat and landscape restoration.

Development of an approximately one-half mile exercise walking path in the ballfield area with an area designated to hold up to ten exercise stations. Project will also include six rest stops along the ten miles of trail within the park; installation of an eight-station exercise par course around the interior walking path at Janice’s Green Valley; planting and irrigation in areas surrounding the new walking path, installation of pet waste stations, and relocation of three existing parking lot security lights.
