All Aboard for Nature!
The All Aboard for Nature! Program aims to diversify and expand access to nature for historically underserved communities.
Participants experience the mental and physical health benefits of visiting public lands and green spaces. Each year, the program provides 10 trips for at least 350 youth, adults, and seniors to explore LA County facilities, parks, and public lands.
In its first year, the program surpassed expectations, introducing 361 participants to local parks in Los Angeles County and the San Gabriel Mountains. Participants engaged in hands-on experiences focused on plants, animals, and public lands, fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of nature.
The program also provided bilingual interpretive services, transportation, and a light lunch, ensuring accessibility and an enriching experience for all attendees.
