Vasquez Rocks Park Interpretive Center

This project was completed in several phases and included the following:

Acquisition of open space land at Vasquez Rocks.

Development of a nature center/museum and general improvements to the Vasquez Rocks Regional Park.

The purchase and installation of new picnic shelters, benches, tables, concrete paving, fencing, lighting, and signage at Mary Van Dyke Park.

Acquisition of an approximately 31-acre parcel located at 32820 Deerglen Lane in Santa Clarita, to be utilized for preservation and public nature education. This open space area is comprised of two blue line streams, two pristine canyons, riparian habitat, and a geologic corridor for a variety of wildlife species, including mountain lions, mule deer, and bobcats.  In addition, the area is bordered on three sides (east, west, and south) by Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park.
