Montebello Rec N’ Go Program
The new and free Rec N’ Go program increases underserved populations’ access to cultural heritage areas, museums, historic landmarks, and other recreation areas in the Greater Los Angeles region, in addition to providing educational courses.
In its first year, the Rec N’ Go program made a significant impact by providing free educational and recreational opportunities that were previously inaccessible to many. The program successfully hosted 12 trips and two robotics courses, eliminating financial and transportation barriers for the local community.
Through its trip program, participants explored various locations across Los Angeles County, while the Robotics Course offered hands-on STEM education, culminating in an engaging field trip. Both initiatives received strong interest and positive feedback, reinforcing Rec N’ Go’s success in fostering connectivity, learning, and accessibility.
