Recreation Access and Equity Program (REAP)

The new Recreation Equity and Access Program (REAP) hosts and supports seasonal programming in the visual and performing arts, culture, literature, science, health, and wellness; as well as just-for-fun events, such as movie nights and holiday celebrations. Programs are held at seven park sites located in park-poor and low-income communities of color throughout LA County.

In its first year, the program hosted various events and workshops at seven different park locations: Marson, Fox and Laurel, Unidad, 11th Avenue, Avalon and Gage, Estrella, and Golden Age Park. A total of 4,150 participants attended programs across these locations, engaging in a range of recreational and educational activities.
