Work Connections: Job Training Program for Veterans & Youth
The Work Connections Program partnered with the Antelope Valley Partners for Health (AVPH) to deliver an Education and Skills Training Program resulting in Certification, Job Placement, and Apprenticeship Opportunities for young adults, ages 18 to 25, and Veterans.
In the first year, 13 participants successfully completed the program. Graduates received general certifications to help them secure employment. Of these participants, four were hired by the Parks and Recreation Department, while five others are awaiting employment clearance.
