Measure A – Competitive Grants First Roll Out 150 150 RPOSD

Starting September 5, 2019, eligible entities were able to apply for two of the RPOSD’s Competitive Grants Programs on the Grants Management System! The first competitive grant programs rolled out were the Recreation Access and Youth & Veteran Job Training & Placement programs. Guidelines for the respective programs were released in September 2019 and mandatory workshops designed to guide applicants through the competitive grants process ran from September 2019 through January 2020. The application deadline for this competitive grant cycle was February 25, 2020 and roll-outs for the Regional Recreation Facilities, Multi-Use Trails and Accessibility and the Natural Lands, Local Beaches, Local Water Conservation and Protection competitive grants programs are to follow.

Measure A provides funding for five competitive grant programs that are divided into two groups: Capital Projects and Program Projects. Competitive grants are open to public agencies, nonprofit organizations and schools that meet the grant program requirements.
