Measure A is Los Angeles County’s first equity-based funding source for Parks and Recreation, take the opportunity to partner with us as a Competitive Grant Evaluator.

The Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (RPOSD) is seeking experts with knowledge and experience reviewing two separate competitive grant programs: Recreation Access and Youth & Veteran Job Training and Placement Programs.  These qualified individuals will be part of a multidisciplinary team tasked with evaluating competitive grant applications that will provide high-quality job training and placement programs in the parks and recreation field and recreational programming that increases access to public lands and park facilities and amenities for Los Angeles County residents and visitors.  This panel will be an integral part of the scoring and evaluation process and shall offer diverse points of view with the goal of selecting successful grant applications.

Evaluators will receive compensation in the form of a stipend.  The amount of the stipend will vary depending on the grant program and total hours needed to complete the evaluation process.  Estimated time commitment for evaluators is to be determined based on the number of applications that reach the evaluation phase.

Evaluators must not be affiliated or have a conflict with reviewing the applications.

Celebrate your expertise and achievements by sharing your passion for creating outstanding park, recreation, and open space experiences for Los Angeles County residents.  Grant application evaluators are integral to the success of these programs.  If you are interested in participating and would like to become a part of the Evaluation Panel with RPOSD, please contact us by September 29, 2022.
